Central Region Expo Set to Commence on August 25

In a bid to promote investment, trade, and tourism, the Central Regional Coordinating Council (CRCC) in partnership with TIAST Group is set to hold this year’s Central Expo 23 after the two parties entered into an official agreement.

The exhibition, which is scheduled to commence on August 25, and end on September 2, 2023 seeks to heighten economic prospects in the Central Region, form strategic alliances, network, and create market linkages.

Held under the theme “Sustaining Business Opportunities: Nurturing SMEs in the Central Region”, the event is expected to bridge connections between local enterprises and international investors, particularly from China, aiming to bolster economic relationships.

Kingsley Agyei Boahene, Chief Director of the CRCC, highlighted the significance of the event, stating that Central Expo 23 will provide a platform to showcase the remarkable potential for investment, trade, and tourism in the Central Region on a global stage.

“GCERITTE aims to foster collaboration and attract foreign investors, particularly from the Asian giant, China, to the Central Region.

“This strategic partnership between both parties will create a platform for networking, business growth, and the exploration of investment opportunities in the region,” he stated in a press release.

According to him, this year’s Central Expo 23 is poised to become a hub of diverse perspectives, with over 400 exhibitors from private and government institutions and 30,000 visitors trooping in.

The event will witness the presence of esteemed guests, including H.E. Mahamudu Bawumia, Vice President of Ghana, Ministers of State, Members of Parliament, TIAST China Chairman, Mr. Hehui Chen, Chiefs and Queen Mothers of the Central Region.

Mr. Boahene extended an invitation to the public to participate in this exceptional event as it holds the potential to redefine the region’s economic development, ushering in a new era of economic dynamism.”

The expo’s agenda comprises exhibitions, conferences, cultural displays, and networking sessions, all intended to propel economic growth and facilitate regional partnerships.
