Agroriches commits to promoting the agriculture chain through its platform

Agroriches, a stakeholder in the agricultural value chain, has reiterated its commitment to using its media platform to promote agriculture and educate farmers across the continent about the sector. They gave this assurance to farmers at the Ghana Central Regional Investment, Trade, and Tourism Expo (GCERITTE) in the Central Region during a business forum held by Tiast Group.

On Wednesday, August 30, as part of activities scheduled for the GCERITTE to promote businesses in the Central Region, a business forum was held with farmers and agricultural actors from the various municipalities in the region.

Addressing the gathering, Senior Editorial Supervisor for Agroriches, Prince Opoku Dogbey, highlighted the mission of Agroriches as a news platform that focuses mainly on agriculture through its weekly newsletters, website, and podcasts to inform and educate people of the agriculture sector in the country and how to utilise opportunities within the sector.

Mr. Prince Opoku Dogbey indicated that “Agroriches takes the perspective, ideas, and opinions of stakeholders and industry expects and communicates them to our audience to be informed about happenings in the agricultural sector through our news outlets, which are our weekly newsletters, our Youtube channel, and our podcast’’.

Organisers of the forum, Tiast Group, have the main goal of adding value to agricultural goods through industrialization and providing financial support through their various financial modules to farmers and investors interested in owning agroprocessing factories.

Educating farmers and stakeholders on how they can benefit from the support, Business Executive of TIAST Group, Priscilla Fiati, explained that, “As an organisation, our main aim is to add value to our agricultural products. We help by providing exceptional financial support of 70–80% to investors aiming to establish their own agroprocessing factory, depending on which of our financial modules you select. At Tiast, we specialise in providing comprehensive localization services, from design and production to supply, installation, and commissioning.’’

She added that “we provide offtake services for a wide array of goods to our ready market’’.

Speaking of a ready market willing to help farmers sell their processed goods, CAISTT, a subsidiary of TIAST Group also present at the forum, spoke about how their app was going to help farmers and investors sell their finished products.

B2B Marketing Executive, James Mackeown, stated that “for CAISTT, we just want to make life simple for consumers and producers. Our e-commerce app can be downloaded on the Google Play Store or Apple App Store by putting a ready agriculture market consisting of buyers and producers on your digital device. We create a platform for businesses to trade their goods and consumers to purchase them’’.

CAISTT also offered to register 50 free agribusinesses from the Central Region onto the app after the business forum, just to support the economic growth of agribusinesses in the Central Region.
