Growing up with the intellectual drive of his father, the deep spiritual life of his mother, and the training, opportunities, and support from the Church of Pentecost through its leadership, these three models have defined and revealed the true personality of Reverend Professor Kwabena Agyapong Kodua.
Born in 1979 on the 17th of July, Reverend Professor Kwabena Agyapong Kodua has bagged an interesting number of certificates. He has a first degree in Mechanical Engineering, a Master of Science degree in Advanced Manufacturing Systems Engineering and Management in the UK, and a PhD for his research in the domain of complex systems modelling, systems integration, and business process improvements.
Heading a beautiful family life, Rev. Prof. Agyapong-Kodua is married to Vida and fathers three amazing children: Nana Darkoa (16 years), Mirabel (13 years), and Oheneba- Kobby Jnr (10 years).
He has worked as a Design Engineer at the Ghana Regional Appropriate Technology Industrial Services (GRATIS) and has also worked as a Mechanical Engineer at Nestle (Gh) Ltd. He later worked as a co-consultant on behalf of the University for Shelling, an Air Conditioning Manufacturing Company in Guangzhou, China.
Further on, he served as a full-time Lecturer in the Engineering Department of Leicester College, UK, and also a Senior Researcher Fellow at the University of Nottingham. Notwithstanding the period in his life where he was an Assistant Professor in one of the most prestigious and well-respected Universities in the UK known as the University of Warwick, he made a tremendous transformation by introducing the development of new modules in the university.
His grave intellectuality in his engineering career led him to have close working relations with engineers such as; BAE Systems, Airbus, Ford, and JCB Engineers and his foundational training of leadership has played a role in his amazing wings of leadership that has spread so wide across the globe and have influenced his surroundings.
Attributing his deep sense of spiritual life to his mother, he seized and furthered every bit of it and he now holds a Master of Arts degree in Practical Theology obtained from Mattersey College, UK. He also serves as a council member of two colleges: Birmingham Christian College and Regents Theological College, both in the UK. After a period of service, he was called into full-time ministry in 2015.
Reverend Professor Agyapong-Kodua is also a Chartered Engineer from the Royal Institute of Engineering and Technology, UK, and a Member of the Engineering Professors Council, UK. He has experience in the Engineering space, Business and Management, Theology, and the Education field as well. He has authored and co-authored seven books and published over 40 papers in leading international journals and conference proceedings.
Not only does he pursue a spiritual life, but he is also currently serving as the Vice-Chancellor of Pentecost University, and as a man of transformation and influence, he has signed an MOU with TIAST Group to train and give practical skills to the students of the university. He perceives a massive transformation occurring in the lives of the students in the short term of 6 months.
He believes that when you champion yourself in the course of problem-solving, there’s no place where you will be insignificant. You can go places and you come into possession of life-long opportunities. As a result of his background in leadership, he’s of the view that the hallmark of a good leader is to produce other leaders not necessarily followers.
His influence, principles, skills, leadership style, intellectual and spiritual life has illuminated his environment and beyond. He embraced his foundation, utilized and furthered it to an exceptional degree not only for himself or his family but for the well-being of all. Talk of a man of change, a principled individual, and an influential personality and Reverend Professor Kwabena Agyapong Kodua is the name.
