The Bono East Regional Director of Agriculture, Mrs Cecelia Kagya Agyemang says farmers in Ghana should work hard to meet the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) 1, 2, and 3.
She pointed that SDG 2 indicates hunger, SDG 1 poverty while SDG 3 focuses on good health and well-being.
She said this during the Bono East Regional business and market linkages fair in the Nkoranza South Municipality of the Bono East Region.
Speaking at the fair, she said the fair which was launched in 2021 is geared toward reducing post-harvest loss in the area.
According to her, the fair allows farmers to showcase their products to the world to create ready market for these products.
She explained that the region is the food basket of the country and that the Departments of Agriculture and its partners to continue providing farmers with the needed skills that would enable them increase yields on the farm.
