CASSAVA CAKE

The Cassava cake roll is a dessert recipe inspired by cassava cake, where fresh cassava is grated and cooked along with milk and sugar and later topped with cheese or any other topping.

INGREDIENTS

  • 2 cup grated cassava
  • 370 ml coconut milk
  •  1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 tsp yellow food coloring
  •  3 tbsp butter Grated cheese

PREPARATION

  • Grate the cassava
  • Sieve and extract the juice
  • Put 3 tbsp in a pan, place it on heat to melt
  • Add coconut milk and sugar and let the mixture boil
  • Add grated cassava and yellow food color to the mixture
  • Cook on low heat until the mixture is thick. (12-15 minutes)
  • Once done, spread cooked cassava on a parchment paper-lined on a tin
  • Grate the cheese and spread on cassava
  • Roll the cassava with cheese between
