STINK BUGS

Stink bugs get their name from the unpleasant odour they produce when threatened. It is thought that this odour helps protect the bugs against predators, and they are a significant threat to crops. They feed on the stems and leaves of plants and the juices of fruits and vegetables, including apples, peaches, berries, peppers, and beans. They can also feed on pecans, sorghum, and cotton and severely cut into all of these crop yields.

Soil type determines which crops can be grown on a specific field (some crops prefer clay while others are more appropriate for sandy soils). Moreover, soil type will also determine water management on the field. Therefore, it is  appropriate to know your soil type before planting.
